Samantha Anne Hodsden

1979-2001

Samantha had a heart of gold.  As one of four children, Samantha always made it a point to be an individual.  She was a great daughter, sister, performer, colleague, and friend.  She worked on many theatrical productions throughout her high school career at Portage High School and while she was at Ball State University.  Samantha participated in “My Fair Lady,” “Godspell,” “The Wiz,” “Annie,” “Tommy,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” Three Penny Opera,” “Best Little Whore House in Texas,” and “Fame” at those venues as well as with Dunes Summer Theatre, Canterbury, and Portage Community Theatre.

Many things were passions for Samantha, though her biggest love was the theatre.  In her honor and memory, her family and friends have strived to bring a performance theatre to the Portage area.  Therefore, in all performances and productions Portage Community Theatre does, we are thoughtful of Samantha’s support and influence.  Though Samantha is unable to be with us in person, all who knew her know she is with us always as we perform for our audience.

We love you Samantha!
