Youth Theater Summer 2011

We provide the young people of Portage and surrounding area the opportunity to learn about and
perform live productions while making new friends and having a great time!

Itty Bitty Theatre

Introduction to stage movement with emphasis on theatre games, story
interpretation and story telling will be introduced. The children will perform The Giving Tree.

Age: leaving grades K-1, minimum age of 5
Dates: June 20-24, 9-12 a.m.
Performance: Friday, June 24, Time TBD
Location: Portage Yacht Club
Cost: Resident $30/Non-Resident $35

 

Children’s Theatre

Introduction to basic acting skills, script analysis, and beginning musical
theatre, as well as increased focus on stage movement will be taught. The children will perform
An Aesop Adventure.

Age: leaving grades 2-5
Dates: June 20-24, 9-12 a.m.
Performance: Friday, June 24, Time TBD
Location: Portage Yacht Club
Cost: Resident $30/Non-Resident $35

 

Teen Theatre

Introduction to the process of directing and producing a performance, beginning
scene design, beginning costuming, and intermediate acting skill will be taught. The teens will
produce, direct, and perform Folk Tales.

Age: leaving grades 6-8
Dates: June 20-24, June27-July 1, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Performance: Saturday, July 2, 6:00 p.m.
